This set and the story behind it is so cool, the fact that Alva got a witch to fall in love for with him when he wasn’t even trying and Alva was fighting through Drangelic and possibly other lands and still got a happy ending implies that he might’ve been an EXTREMELY skilled swordsman in Dark souls 2 Lore, and the armor even rivals the Elite Knight set in terms of fashion and style due to the practical and fantastical style the armor takes, it looks like a armor set that can actually keep you alive!

If anybody is playing this on PS4 and in the us and has a spare I need this set. I accidentally killed the merchant.

am i the only one that thinks that this set looks better than the faraam set? not that i don't think the faraam set looks sick, but man, i always tend to play through the whole game with the alva set, until i get the drakeblood set, of course.
- Anonymous
i get the faraam set looks marginally cooler as a box art set but at least this has a story and character tied to it, can be bought at a reasonable time in the game and doesn't look like complete **** in ds3

Bro, I am Swedish, and I haven`t met anybody who has that name. If you say it in english it kinda sound like a guy name.

stats suck but one of the best looking sets in the series so its worth

Alva had more lore than the literal cover armor of the game
- Anonymous
This should have Dark Souls 2 flagship armor instead of Faraam.

Might not have the best stats but God damn if this set doesn't look ****ing amazing.

Gentlemen. From this day forward, you will all refer to me by the name Alva.

I swear this is the most adaptable armor in the game, it always seems to have just the right weight to defense and poise ratios. You can always count on your good ol' Alva Gauntlets when trying to minmax weight.

Sacrificed my good stats on elite knight for alva set,Worth it

My most cherished armor set...I got it as soon as I could afford it in the beginning, and never took it off... But nowadays I run around in prison tatters, a traveling merchant hat, jester's glove, and leggings of the forlorn.... Yeah I said it...I'm a item farmer lol.

Best set for looking like a knight in DS2 in my opinion. Elite Knight set (DS1 nostalgia) and Faraam (Poster boy) set are also great for fashion and they're both much more pristine condition. Alonne Knight set, Royal Swordsman and Knight set are also fairly good, but they don't have much colour in them, just metal.

Eh is it me or is there no room in this column to place the poise value of this armor?

The numbers for the Totals dont add up. Has to be 209/199/216/206 / 58/63/44/62 / 62/81/0/0
Used this set throughout my entire first playthrough was I unlocked it. I pair it with the hexer hood for the extra spell casting and it looked pretty cool. Good stats too. IMO cooler than Farram set
