Broadsword is a Straight Sword and one of the available Weapons in Dark Souls 2. Broadsword is a straight sword, offering players a versatile and effective weapon option. Known for its slashing attacks, it shares similarities with other swords like the Yellow Quartz Longsword, Varangian Sword, Black Dragon Sword, Broken Straightsword, and Drakekeeper's Sword. To maximize its potential, players can upgrade the Broadsword with regular Titanite up to +10, enhancing its overall performance. With a balanced combination of Strength and Dexterity, the Broadsword reaches an Attack Rating of 338 when fully upgraded to +10.

Standard straight sword. This straight sword is sufficient in most respects. and effective in most situations if wielded properly. Those who aspire to master the sword are certain to wield this at some point during their journey.

How to get Broadsword in Dark Soul 2

• Knight starting equipment.
• Purchased from Blacksmith Lenigrast for 1700 souls.
• Drop from Poison Creatures in Shaded Woods.
• Poison Broadsword available as Treasure in Earthen Peak: Near the area where you meet Pate, there is a tricky jump to be done. Please see Earthen Peak page for details.
• Broadsword+7 available as Treasure in Brume Tower: From the Foyer bonfire, jump the gap and find a couple of enemies. Defeat them and open the doors in this room to find the item.

DS2 Broadsword Hints and Tips

• Upgraded with regular Titanite to +10.
• Has a full suite of slashing attacks, similar to the Yellow Quartz Longsword, Varangian Sword, Black Dragon Sword, Broken Straightsword and Drakekeeper's Sword.
• This weapon has a decent durability when compared to other starting weapons.
• At +10 and with 40/40 str/dex, this weapon has an Attack Rating of 338 (240+98).

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.
