Upgrading with Twinkling Titanite to +5 enhances its potency. Despite its classification as a greataxe, the Crescent Axe exhibits a swift moveset typical of regular axes
A bronze greataxe with a crescent shaped blade.
Its long handle gives the weapon great reach. One senses that this axe was once imbued with a sacred power, but only traces of it remain.
Perhaps those who blessed this axe are no longer with us.
How to get Crescent Axe in Dark Souls 2
- Treasure from Brightstone Cove Tseldora: Near Weaponsmith Ornifex there is a door guarded by a red lizard. Through this door and behind a bookshelf, there is a room with a spider that also hides the chest, containing the axe and Soul Vortex.
- Drop from the Kobolds at Aldia's Keep entrance.
DS2 Crescent Axe Hints and Tips
- Upgraded with Twinkling Titanite to +5.
- Although classified as a greataxe, the Crescent Axe has the moveset of a regular axe class weapon; this makes its swings very swift for a weapon of its length. In addition, the Crescent Axe's 2H running attack is the halberd's spinning attack, and it's second 2H attack seems to be unique
- The Crescent Axe wis a sweetspot weapon. If an enemy is struck by the handle, they will only receive 50% damage.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.

This weapon is pretty good if you want to deal some magic damage without leveling up int. Because how resin buffs work in this game, using an Aromatic ooze in this weapon will actually increase the magic damage it already has on top of adding a flat damage increase, making it benefit more from the buff than other weapons with physical only damage would.

i tried this on a quality build as i seemed to get the most damage out of it that way, even against a magic build. Not awful, you should play it more like a halberd than an axe, it deals no damage if you´re up close.

it seem magic infusion has a poor scaling (D) instead of the B of other. It is counter intuitive. Typo or secret ?

Does anyone know how good the B scale on lighting is with lightning+5? Im comparing it to the Mace lighting +10 and it seems to be a little stronger in base dmg and has a bigger reach...
This and the dragonslayer's axe are literally the only realistic or historically accurate axes in the game, with both having rather sub-par stats. What a pity... I think the makers of this game just really don't like axes (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
