Dingy Set is an Attire or Armor in Dark Souls 2. Armor sets do not provide specific benefits, so players are free to mix and match their preferred parts to optimize their Builds.

Set Location
- Dropped by dark spirit Firekeeper found at the bottom of Grave of Saints on NG+ (along with dark spirit Faraam Knight).
- Only obtainable in true NG+, using a Bonfire Ascetic won't do.
Notes
- Upgraded with regular Titanite.
- Found in +5 state.
- Robe offers the highest petrification resistance and third highest curse resistance.
- Skirt offers the highest petrification and curse resistance.
- When fully upgraded, the skirt is arguably the best lightweight leg attire in the game.

AnonymousI must warn all of you, anybody saying you can get this set with Bonfire Ascetics or in the first NG cycle are lying to you through their teeth and just want internet points on the objectively worse Dark Souls wiki. I guess troll editing on Wikidot didn't suffice for them.
You CAN NOT GET THIS SET IN NG OR BY USING BONFIRE ASCETICS. Anybody claiming that they have are obviously lying.

You can actually get them to spawn with bonfire ascetic on the second bonfire in grave o saints. Fix your goddamn wiki!!!

Why on earth would they make this available only after a playthrough? I use these robes in every game! What am I supposed to do the first time? Farm a Shadow Set with the Champion covenant active? >_<

Now I could've sworn I got this set in NG originally. Maybe I'm mistaken or the remaster changed that. Pain in the ass to get now which is a shame

"arguably the best leg piece"
compared to chaos, it is heavier, slightly better defence, comparable magic and lighning, but much weaker fire and dark, ccompensated bby curse and petrification.
all in all, for pvp, i would say chaos (or black, if you want to defend against magic specifically) is better
