Acquired From

Hints and Tips:

  • Reinforced with regular Titanite to +10.
  • Has a complete suite of slashing attacks and consumes slightly more stamina than most straight swords, the same as the Broadsword and Black Dragon Sword.
  • This weapon is very similar to the Broadsword, including in moveset. However, the main difference besides a tiny advantage in both physical damage and poise damage, is that the Drakekeeper's Sword is considerably longer than the Broadsword, giving the weapon above average range. Combined with the Broadsword moveset, this weapon is actually a fairly versatile and effective weapon overall, mainly let down by the fact that it has no long-range thrusting move.
  • At Normal +10 with 40 Strength and 40 Dexterity the Drakekeeper's Sword has an Attack Rating of 350 (245+105), exactly as much as the Sun Sword.

This sword is great for a darkwraith cosplay build as the dark sword is of course not in dark souls 2. If you don't mind speccing into int, faith, and attunement you can also use a pyromancy glove in your left hand to give the impression that you have a dark hand (also pyromancy is op as hell late game). The only problem is that you need a lot of vitality to fast roll in the full darkwraith set plus the drakekeeper's sword (not to mention a shield). If you do use a shield i'd recommend the bone shield that drops off the Aldia Warlocks and the Dragon Acolytes or the drakekeeper's greatshield if you don't mind using a greatshield.
