How to get Sanctum Repeating Crossbow in Dark Souls 2
- Dropped by the Sanctum Knights. on the Crown of the Sunken King DLC
DS2 Sanctum Repeating Crossbow Hints and Tips
- Shoots three bolts in quick succession, similar to the Avelyn.
- As like all other crossbows, it is NOT possible to infuse this weapon with poison.
- Two-handed strong attack on the supporting hand (left strong attack if equipped to right hand) unleashes a barrage of Dark Bolts.
- Has no base dark damage, but gets an extra by scaling up to + 80.
- It is not recommended to infuse the weapon with dark if you want to use it as a normal crossbow, as it loses damage this way.
- However if you're dedicated on using the special attack, it is highly recommended to infuse with Dark, it boosts special attack damage.
- The highest damage is dealt with lightning infusion and lightning bolts or with mundane infusion, depending on the character stats.
- Dual SRCs with lightning infusion, lightning bolts, Ring of Blades +2 and Lightning Clutch Ring deal about 700 damage.
- the Dark Clutch Ring from the 3rd dlc increases the damage the special attack does by a significant margin.
DS2 Sanctum Repeating Crossbow Trivia
- The crossbow itself appears to be a reference to the manga "Berserk", where the protagonist uses an identical arm-mounted repeater crossbow.

So i was experimenting with this. I've used the Jailers and Dogs around McDuff as Test dummies and compared WA damage in the Jailers and regular attacks in the dogs. I have 50 in everything, wearing Ring of Blades and was in NG+ so these are my results. Dark infused deals 1017 damage with one WA barrage to the Jailers. Mundane is 423 and uninfused 792. When Uninfused and Mundane i was able to kill the dogs with one volley of heavy bolts but they survived If infused with dark. I'd say If you like the WA and want to use it, infuse it with dark. If you want regular damage Go with uninfused, it's a good all around choice If you want both attacks. If you don't care about the WA and don't want to lose durability use Mundane or raw. (Whatever does more damage) You can also use Dark Clutch Ring If you want to go crazy with this thing. It was oneshotting the Jailers. Pretty fun weapon.

Is it just me or this Crossbow is almost exactly like the one Guts carries in Berserk? It wouldn't be weird for Dark Souls to have a Berserk reference :v
Anyway Crossbow go Brrrr

powerstancing these trivialises most invaders, and some bosses
at 30+ lowest stat, these mundane did about 600-700 damage per 6 bolts to Aldia Keep Forlorn
also absolutely pwned guardian dragon with dank bolts doing about 150 per bolt

Does firing the dark bolts reduce the durability like the regular sanctum crossbow?

Why is the range not listed? Neither this nor Avelyn have the range stated, even though the reg sanctum xbow is listed for a range of 20 (CQB, anyone?)
With this weapon if you two hand it hitting Triangle twice or holding it you can actually Aim with this weapon like a bow. Been using it for an hour farming spirits in the undead crypts by the boss door.

Equipping the ring increases the dark damage by 30. After infusing the weapon with Dark, this increases to around 40, partially offsetting the damage lost. Wearing the ring greatly increases the damage output.
