Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.

The best SL1 halberd. Combined with the DLC shield and Cale's headpiece, you can hit 12 dex and wield this two handed without giving up a ring slot for extra dex. It's the only halberd you can do this with.

The biggest benefit of this weapon is the low requirements - 3 lower dex than the normal halberd, and 1 lower total stats than lucerne; while also being a tiny bit longer than the normal halberd. This means that, if you plan to use exclusively two-handed moveset, you need only 10 strength and 11 dexterity to wield it.
Its damage is tiny bit behind normal halberd (at 20/14, scythe/glaive does 387 while halberd does 410; at 40/40, 60/14 and 20/60 halberd outdamages it by 20-30 physical damage) and lack of thrust move on one-handed R1. It is affected by sweetspot mechanic (as every other pole weapon), where it will deal significantly less damage if it hits with the pole rather than the blade of the weapon.
Overall it's an unremarkable, but solid PvE choice and an awkward PvP choice (due to second R2 often missing), suitable for builds that lack the stats to use a more powerful halberd (roaring, mastodon etc) but still enjoy this moveset.

So why exactly is this thing called "Scythe"? It's a Berdysch and even DS3 didn't do it right giving it Glaive as a name. Is it a mistake from From itself or a translation issue?

Please add info to this article about damage: this weapon deals higher damage when the tip of it hits, rather than its 'handle'.

This thing isn't even CLOSE to what a scythe looks like. It's more akin to a sort of glaive weapon if anything.

This one looks dangerously alike the halberd Gundyr brothers had in dark souls 3
I've used this in most of a regular ng playthrough once, and i can say that it's a decent weapon, great for crowd control, has decent damage, but the lack of thrust attacks and the mediocre scaling makes it suffer in some scenarios. It started to underperform for me in the dlc's, and by the time i got to Sihn, i switched to Pursuer's UGS since the damage on this thing during the fight was mediocre, and it was taking too much durability damage from sihn's hard skin. Overall, i'd say that it still works great for pvp, due to it's great moveset and fast attacks.
