Spider Fang is a weapon in Dark Souls 2 (DKS2). Spider Fang is a Curved Sword with additional poison damage. Its unique special attack enhances its effectiveness in applying status effects.
Curved sword forged from the soul of the Duke's Dear Freja.
Its blade is coated with a sticky silk that is cast with each strong attack, slowing enemy movement.
Supposedly, the duke himself, an eccentric soul fascinated with spiders, went on to take a form that was far from human.
Effect: movement slowdown (strong attack launches spider web, 10 durability per use)
DKS2 Spider Fang Acquired From
- Trade Soul of the Duke's Dear Freja to Weaponsmith Ornifex for 1500 souls.
Spider Fang Hints and Tips in Dark Souls 2
- The Spider Fang's heavy attack has quite the range. With a little aim it is easy to hit distant enemies.
- Does not shoot web if wielded in left hand, replaced by either parrying or power stance heavy attack.
- However, if you two-hand the sword while equipped in left hand, heavy attack will be replaced by a faster thrust which still shoots web.
- The special attack is great for catching people off guard in PVP, especially backstab hunters, making them an easy kill.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.

You can shot the web in the left had by hitting the right r1 and l1 relight after. I used to do this on my own 360 accounts for PvP. I had a 838 account with every item and that was part of my build for pvping. “Phyxium” was my account

Does the slow effect works on everything? Like, lets say, an Ancient Dragon? Because it would be quite a feat holding something so big

Only use this with BOTH repair (sorcery/powder) and bracing knucle +2. Otherwise when you say TAKE THAT the weapon suddenly says NO YOU TAKE THAT!

The weapon durability is just too low especially the heavy attack costs 10. Great scaling though.

Does this shot web if wielded in main hand dual wielding/power stance?

Spider pig! Spider pig! Does whatever a spider pig does. Can he swing from a web? No he can't. He's a pig. Lookout! He is the spider pig.
(No seriously, this weapon can be good with poison infusion as the spider web slows opponents down.)

requirements are completely wrong, it's 10 str and 25 dex, i thought this would've been a stupidly good sl1 weapon or a low requirement weapon on my hexer but the information's just incorrect

The weapons description is really interesting, as it seems to suggest that the duke had possible become one with his dear Freja, which would explain the other head and the hollow of the dukes possibly former body, it would make sense that due to the duke abandoning his body to fuse with his dear Freja his original body became a husk, similar to Gwyn who lost his soul serving what he valued most, the first flame.
