Scholar of the First Sin: To find the key, go left across the bridge next to the burning corpse pile. Follow that path upwards until you reach the top of the hill where Ruthless Roenna invades. It's laying on the ground up there.
Original Dark Souls II: Along the same path mentioned above, but there's a lower area with a hut filled with rogue hollows. Dispatch them and grab the key.
