Aldia Hammer is a weapon in Dark Souls 2.
Hammer used by Aldian acolytes. Not used as a weapon, but as an instrument to dissect the bodies of the victims of their experimentation.
They say that Lord Aldia was the King's elder brother and helped found Drangleic, but he later lost interest in the land's fortunes.
Acquired From
- Dropped by Dragon Acolytes in Aldia's Keep.
Hints and Tips:
- Upgraded with regular Titanite. Cannot be infused with Bleed.
- Moveset is identical to a normal Mace.
- The scaling itself is mediocre compared to Mace and Club
- Uses less Stamina than a Mace per R1 (7 swings @135 Stamina vs. 6 with the Mace.
- Attack type is Thrust but oddly, none of the swings is a Thrust attack.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.
Regular(R), Thrust(T), Slash(Sl), Strike(St)

"Attack type is Thrust but oddly, none of the swings is a Thrust attack."
Are you saying the weapon is 0% thrust? Or some attacks are thrust and some are not?

Oh god, I used this on my quality build thinking it would be good, and the damage was nice if I could actually hit with it. The range is abysmal, even for a mace, and the mediocre mace moveset just compounds this further.

YAYYY MY LAST PETRIFIED DRAGON- oh. Back to farming i guess.
Its attacks are listed as THRUST, so they deal higher damage counter attacking and so it also benefits from the Leo Ring.

I mean, it looks cool and the attacks come out slightly faster than most, but that's about it.
Pair this with a spiked whip. Thank me later.
