Its kinda stupid how hard, cryptic and overly rng-based it is to get this set in the Vanilla version of this game, 2 changes that I'm very grateful for in Scholar of the First Sin is the fact that this set is much more openly obtainable since you can find the whole set in the Gutter, and the fact that you can actually properly farm for the Heide Knight armour.

hey my “invisible set” is very much visible, I think it is because I chose the smaller character model as it appears to be clipping on the legs. Can someone else check on their game (and no it is not the visible version, i just got it from maughlin).

The invisible one is definitely the better of the two since it weighs very little, gives good defenses and has the bonus effect of increasing your weight limit.

Aurous set = Sauron set
They just rearranged the letters of the name and flipped the N to make a U. But I am sure that is obvious for most. I want to get my hands on the visible set of this armor :)

I put in the time to farm that phantom to get the OG visible set. Then scholar comes out and just gives it away. OG Dark Souls 2 players had it pretty rough sometimes.

Both have incredible defense for how light they are and how early you can get them. The visible one is particularly nice looking. But both uses twinkle titanites to upgrade...

"The ENTIRE visible set is dropped by a dark spirit in No-Man's Wharf that invades on the ship on NG+ and above (spawns once)." No. The dark spirit drops INDIVIDUAL PIECES of the set and very rarely. This wiki is a mess.

Invisible set sounds cooler than it looks. When worn you just look like a gecko thats shedding its skin.

Now, the non-invisible set on the other hand looks amazing! The reddish tinge and spikes sell it for me. Sauron vibes.

How will I know when I have spent 16k souls with Maughlin? Is it when he changes position and sits facing the shop entrance? He already sells boss sets to me currently.

Armor becomes visible while wearing the white ring. Looks amazing. Add red eye ring for even more effect

This armor would have been one of the best and my favourite if it didn't have those stupid spikes around his neck.. Whoever designed that doesn't know what happens when someone lifts his arms up...

I killed the dark spirit who wears the set and i didn't get the set or the souls. Does anybody else have this problem? Btw i did reload the area and it still wasn't there

I will only use this set of armor because i loved the feeling that i got when i discovered it's chest in the gutters. I love dark souls when it comes to exploration.

when you die you can also see the invisible set

Rearange the characters and make the "u" to "n" and you'll get "Sauron" out of "Aurous".
