Black Knight Greataxe is a Greataxe and one of the available Weapons in Dark Souls 2. Black Knight Greataxe in Dark is a formidable weapon wielded by charred knights. It's important to note that this greataxe deals significantly less damage when not hitting with the blade, and it experiences higher durability loss in such cases
Even after their flesh was charred by flame, they remained as strong as ever, and stood watch, challenging visitors to their land.
How to get Black Knight Greataxe in Dark Souls 2
- Treasure In the Iron Keep, by the Ironhearth Hall bonfire. Pulling the lever after the turtle knights brings down a platform which you can use to access a ladder that leads to a roof. The axe is in a chest nearby 3 Alonne Knight Captains.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.

This weapon would be way batter if it wasn't for the stupid sweet spot mechanic they put on it now, isn't it being significantly slower than most of the other Great Axes not bad enough?
- Anonymous
Sad it's so mediocre in DS2, also Black Knight weapons having innate fire damage makes no sense lol

Dropped from a little imp guy near kings ring path in ruined fork road

Yeah this weapon isn't all that great. Its mostly the annoying hitbox that makes it so bad.

the black knights greatsword is so much better than this abomination honestly if you absolutely need to use one of the black knight weapons go for the greatsword or the ultra greatsword

A magnificently beautiful weapon totally ruined by an atrocious hit-box, quick degradation and flawed tracking. This has to be the worst weapon in the whole game, even for PvE. I am a prolific user of Scythe weapons and have no trouble at all with their hit-box, but the BKGA is just a nightmare. I'd argue that in some situations even when you nail the sweet spot, it doesn't register properly and will register hilt damage. It's abysmally slow move-set transition means you either score two perfect hits or fail miserably. This failing is compounded by it's inability to inflict reliable poise damage. It would seems like you can inflict the same poise damage almost twice as fast with a Scythe, because if you miss the sweet spot on one hit or both (which is very easy to do) there goes all your poise damage.
The most unwieldy and unreliable weapon I have used. It's sexy appearance is not even close to redeeming this weapon. The 2H R1 attacks are very gratifying, but also have a weird tracking issue that I'm unable to make sense of. Use if you're a sadist.

Why does it seem that the first hit deals about 40% less damage than the second?
