Black Knight Ultra Greatsword is a weapon in Dark Souls 2.
Ultra greatsword wielded by knights who served a lord of light in a long forgotten age.
Even after their flesh was charred by flame, they remained as strong as ever, and stood watch, challenging visitors to their land.
Acquired From
- Treasure from Brightstone Cove Tseldora, it's in the second spider temple, beyond two doors (Brightstone Key required), in a chest. Also contains a Fire Seed and Great Fireball.
- Rare drop from the Kobolds in front of Aldia's Keep.
Hints and Tips:
- Upgraded with Twinkling Titanite to +5.
- Moveset is identical to Zweihander.
- Minimum Power Stance requirement is 45 Strength and 24 Dexterity.
- Oddly enough if you infused it with anything from Magic to Bleed, the Fire Parameter scaling remains a slightly better C indicated by the blue coloring of the letter when choosing infuse type, and at maximum upgrade rank it's better than the regular upgrade, being B instead of C.
- Extremely formidable Fire weapon especially if infused with Firedrake Stone and buffed with Flame Weapon.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.
Regular(R), Thrust(T), Slash(Sl), Strike(St)

I got one as a drop from one of those toxic rat things in the shaded woods and I am just really confused as to how that happened, anyone got any ideas? I am positive that I couldn't have picked it up anywhere else.

Seems outclassed by regular greatsword, which has lower stat requirements, and even makes a better fire weapon when infused with fire as it has higher physical and fire AR AND better scaling in both. Greatsword is slightly heavier, but has longer reach. Is also much easier to upgrade because it uses regular titanite. BKGS looks cool, but its hard to see a use case for it

The tracking on this thing is HORRIBLE. Not sure how my guy can miss these swings

It's saying the base fire damage for me is 100, not 80. I'm at 7 intelligence and 5 faith, so it can't really be a scaling thing, and it hasn't been upgraded at all.

Why are there no Black Knights in DS2 but there are in DS3? If Dranglaic is built upon the same land as Lordran and Lothric, then wtf happened to them in between DS1 and DS2 for them to disappear but leave their weapons around, yet reappear in DS3?

The Description says Black knight ultra Great sword +10, Everyone knows black knight weapons only go to +5. Please check these thing Fextralife, your a great wiki. Keep it that way.
Can you get more of these if you keep using bonfire aesthetics?

This is the only game in which it has default fire damage. Whether or not that is better is up to the enemies resists.
Still love the move set!
