Chime of Screams is a weapon in Dark Souls 2.
Sacred chime forged from the soul of Nadalia, Bride of Ash.
Nothing appears sacred about the frightful design of this chime, but it does have the benefit of raising one's faith.
The oozing, frozen iron forming the bell seems to anticipate a scream.
Acquired From
- Trade Soul of Nadalia, The Bride of Ash with Weaponsmith Ornifex for 20,000 souls.
Hints and Tips:
- Reinforced with Petrified Dragon Bone to +5.
- Balanced B starting scaling on both Lightning and Dark.
- Increases Faith, the lower the Faith stat, the higher the increase. (See table below for more details).
- Has a cast speed of only 25 resulting in spells taking about 5 times as long to cast compared to other chimes.
- Recommended for low faith Cleric (approx 5-20 faith) for simply wielding it while casting miracles with other chimes wielded with another hand along with other faith boosting items.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.

With 15 strength 16 dex and 5 faith you can actually two-hand blackknight ultra greatsword while this chime is in your offhand.

Ok, this might just be a me thing, but if you've made it through Brume Tower and beaten both Raime and Sir Alonne, I feel like you've probably figured your build out

im gonna use CE somehow to make this have 1 cast speed and leave it unupgraded and go pvp with it

One of the guy said using this chime makes you scream love it so much xD best comment of 2019 (and 2021)

Since everybody is complaining about it not having a use:
1. Start as a Sorcerer to have 4 faith
2. Temporarily raise faith to 8 to access Felkin
3. Get as many staff hexes as you want throughout your playthrough
4. Unlock Mcduff's infusions
5. Kill all 4 lord soul bosses(Freja, Sinner, Rotten and Iron King)
6. Enter the Iron King DLC and do the smelter wedges and kill Fume Knight for Nadalias soul
7. Make the scream chime
8. Enter the Sunken King DLC and get the Sanctum Shield
9. +10 regular or dark Sanctum Shield and +5 Dark Chime of Screams
10. Soul Vessel to lower your faith back down to 5 but get lots of goldenflower balms and the ring of prayer
11. Between Prayer Ring, GFB, Chime Of Screams and the Sanctum Shields low requirements and having 50 int and using Skeptic's Spice with Magerold to lower faith requirements you can now cast Staff Hexes with the Shield for extremely high power despite only having 5 faith(staff hexes scale more to faith and chime hexes more to int but both hex types require/get boosted from scaling by both stats)
Bam, it has a goddamn use, now shut up

One cool thing you can do is keep dragon chime in one hand chime of screams in the other, can really confuse people with the different casting times for pvp.

JAHAHAHA its called chime of screams cause you'll be screaming the whole time youre slow casting
They should have just given it low faith requirement. It has abysmal slow cast time so might as well save you the equipping of another chime on your other hand and use that weakness instead. It's only real use is to allow you to cast non scaling/already high base effect buffs and heals with another chime on your other hand with low faith. You can also min max your damage but it's too finnicky.

Pretty terrible chime, i wouldnt advise putting such a fine soul into it. if you like pyromancy, go check out the pyromancy it can give you called "Outcry"

this is inferior to the disc chime in every way as an offhand chime...

Greetings fellow Dark Souls players I have finally found a use for this terrible chime, ever wanted to look like Gwyn? Now you can, just cast sunlight spear with this chime and imagine epic music playing in the background as you cast it.

The Faith boost it gives only works in the first slots of the right and left hand, and the faith stat boost is different depending on your faith, because when I was at 20, it gave me 6, and when I was at 35 it gave me 4?
I use this for sacred oath so I save a bunch of levels to get 4 damn attunement slots.
