Small Shields Strike / Parry
Enchantable:
Magic Shield
Special Attack:
Spell Parry

Cleric's Parma is a Small Shield in Dark Souls 2. Small Shields and Standard Shields can be used not only to block an enemy but to parry their attack as well. This allows a riposte, a free attack by the player for a high amount of damage. Enemy attacks can be interrupted with a parry (pressing the Strong Attack button for the shield) and requires practice to learn the timing.

Acquired From:

  • Dark Priestess on top of the tower in Dragon Shrine
  • In Scholar of The First Sin, it is found in a chest in Cathedral of Blue, next to Blue Sentinel Targray.
  • Dropped from Astrologists in the Iron Passage

Hints and Tips:

  • Capable of spell parrying

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.

Shrine of Amana was my gate, this little thing was my key. Glad I thought of it before I started losing braincells.

I've killed those f*cking astrologists like 200 times with coins, symbol of avarice, +2 serpents, prisoners tatters and dragon shield and collected like 5-6 sets of astrologists wear + 4 Caitha bells, but no cleric's parma. Either is the wiki wrong of this is a bad joke by From soft. Seriously, this is the worst place to farm a shield (which is rather mediocre btw) and the drop rates must be at around 1%.
