Crest of the Rat is a Ring in Dark Souls 2 (DKS2). Players can equip up to 4 Rings, but equipping two of the same item is not possible. Some rings have upgraded versions, having a maximum of +3. Some can only be found in NG+. Rings can be repaired at a blacksmith, but not upgraded. Upgraded versions must be acquired throughout the game from corpses, chests, bosses, etc.

  • Draws trespassers of the Rat King's territory into your world.
  • Increases poison attack:
    • Adds 25 to poison attack if a weapon is infused with poison using a poison stone.
    • Adds 50 to poison attack if weapon has poison damage innately (meaning it was not altered by the player with a poison stone).
    • Adds 60 to poison attack if a weapon has poison damage innately and is infused with a poison stone.

    • Must have ring for poison, it'll pretty much double the poison scaling you get from 40-50 dex if the weapon is infused with poison. With poison spotted whips it isn't that insane of a % increase but it's still +120 on power stance.

        This Ring+Sanctum Knight Gauntlets+Poison Infused Black Scorpion Stinger+50 Dex= If they run. Simply hound them until the poison gets them, and the constant damage just gives you their last known location. Making tracking easier. Basically a decent hunter build if you are sick of runners, usable by both duelists and trolls. (note the spotted whip is technically better, I just prefer the stinger.)

          The Rat king will not get a gravestone and can there for not be summoned after being killed.
          I messed up my poison build totally, I forgot to remove my moon butterfly set before talking to him...
