Drakekeeper's Shield is a Standard Shield in Dark Souls 2.
*since patch 1.15 (before 90 / 6.0)
- "An extremely sturdy pitch-black shield."
- "Colossal warriors staunchly watch over the shrine, ready to defend its resident, or allow one worth enough to be granted audience."
Acquired From
- Drakekeepers armed with a sword and shield at the Dragon Shrine.
Hints and Tips:
- Upgraded with regular Titanite to +10.
- When fully upgraded, it's superior to unupgraded Defender's Shield and Bone Shield.
- When infused with dark, it gains the best defenses for medium shields across the board at the cost of losing 100% physical damage reduction.
- Since patch 1.15, the weight has been increased from 6.0 to 7.0 and the durability from 80 to 110. It is less viable for a light build compared to Defender's Shield. It is also harder to farm as there is only ONE sword and shield Drakekeepers in the whole game (SotFS).

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.
Regular(R), Thrust(T), Slash(Sl), Strike(St)
Some say that easy mode is achieved with a good weapon. Others, with a good combination of rings.
All you need is this shield and a darknight stone.
Best late game "small" shield. 100% phys block, high stability, somewhat decent elemental resistances (except lightning), and it looks so damn good.
