Drakewing Ultra Greatsword is a weapon in Dark Souls 2.

 

A sword decorated with drake wings.

Use strong attack to unleash its latent power.

The blade of this sword is split into two, and is best swung in smashing motions rather than slices.

Drakes are likely descendants of the ancient dragons, and although their strength pales in comparison to the what is described in legend, to mere humans they are still mighty beasts.

Hints and Tips:

  • Upgraded with Petrified Dragon Bone to +5.
  • Fires off a ranged projectile attack (Two-hand Strong attack), lowering its durability by 10 points.
  • Two projectiles can be fired in a row.
  • Equipping the Bracing Knuckle Ring +2 will reduce the durability cost by half.
  • One of the two lightest Ultra Greatswords, the other being the Zweihander.
  • If you plan to use the special attack often, be sure to take some Repair Powder or duplicate swords with you, or the Repair sorcery.
  • In melee range both the normal hit and ability will hit on the R2, hits around 900 damage (or 1600 damage with Resin) and capable of knocking down most enemies.
  • Hightly recommended to buff it with Resins and land a two handed strong attack at melee range, extremely handy for both killing bosses and PvP.
  • This can reach up to 1730 damage, which can result in INSTANT KILL during PvP.
  • Especially useful against Lost Sinner and Guardian Dragon if buffed with Dark Pine Resin.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.
