Greatbows in Dark Souls II are a type of ranged Weapon that's similar to Bows, but are heavier and have higher stat requirements. They have a slower rate of fire compared to bows but Greatbows have higher damage output. Some shots are also capable of knocking down enemies when landed. Unlike Bows and Crossbows, they cannot be fired while moving, players would need to remain stationary when firing shots with Greatbows. All Greatbows have better range than Bows, as players can zoom in to their sights and take a closer look at their aim when targeting. This page covers a list of all Greatbows in Dark Souls 2.

There's two greatbows in main game. And that greatbow that spins is the one from the dlc. That is on purpose and mentioned in the description. As far as if it works on others bows is besides me

Is nobody ever going to talk about how all the greatbows will spin in your hand while you ready an arrow if you don't go into 1st person with them, I don't know if it's an animation bug or what but I've checked every time I boot the game up and it always happens without fail. It doesn't effect game play at all as far as I can tell but it's the funnies thing just watching the possessed armor bow twirl itself around in my hand as I ready an arrow.
