Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.
Regular(R), Thrust(T), Slash(Sl), Strike(St)

What a weird upgrade progression. Starts D in str and C in dex and goes to B in str and the same C in dex...

note: hit from max distance for max dmg as it has a different dmg calculation based on which part of the weapon hit the enemy.

Probably best weapon you can obtain in the early game (supposing you did not start as cleric, as the mace does similiar damage and is more flexible where PvE is concerned being both faster and one handed). It can be picked up from the edge of the sword sticking through the wall before the last giant fight. Relatively high base and poise damage, with relatively low stat requirements. Mediocre scaling means you can raw infuse it and not lose out on much damage, Raw+10 being 402 With 20 strength and 14 dex and Normal+10 getting 462 at 40 strength and 40 Dex, Raw infusions freeing up 56 stat points for other things at the cost of about 15% damage. Also running attacks cause you to spin hitting everything three times. Strong attacks also cause you to spin, but only hitting twice. Useful for hit and run tactics on bosses or just being overwhelmed. Overall, solid. Used it on a no death no bonfire run in base new game.

This dropped before my first boss in the game. I also upgraded it to +3. The Last Giant, The Dragonrider, and the Pursuer all died extremely quickly (solo). I now have it at +4 and am going to fight the Ruin Sentinels. If you are just starting the game and this weapon drops and you have at least ten strength and 14 dex (Bandit class works well for this but I haven't tried any others) I highly suggest using this weapon. be sure to put some levels into stamina though as this weapon does take a lot of stamina.

I used this weapon against the skeleton lords, and completely soloed them.If I do say so myself, it's a pretty good crowd control weapon.Although most other halberds do it better.
