Handmaid's Ladle is a Hammer and one of the available Weapons in Dark Souls 2. The Handmaid's Ladle is an unusual but powerful weapon with high base damage. It's effective against tough bosses like the Fume Knight or Burnt Ivory King. Equipping it gives extra benefits, slightly boosting Vitality and Endurance by 1 and decreasing Dexterity by 1.
An ordinary kitchen ladle.
He who chooses this as a weapon either faces extenuating circumstances or has an odd sense of humor. If you care for your life, leave this one in the kitchen.
How to get Handmaid's Ladle in Dark Souls 2
- Obtained from Milibeth after killing the two cyclops on the beach (it is not necessary to kill the one on the side path) in Things Betwixt.
- Cannot be re-obtained by using a bonfire ascetic, you can only get duplicates at NG+
DS2 Handmaid's Ladle Hints and Tips
- This weapon would be very useful if in Dark Souls 2 there was Estus Soup
- This weapon is one of the best weapons in the game so many could make a build with it.
- This weapon has high base damage and can shred bosses like Fume Knight or Burnt Ivory King.
- Mundane scales with a character's lowest stat and so needs a dedicated build.
- A side benefit is that a broken ladle only loses its base damage. (around 10 dmg at mundane +0),
- When equipped, increases Vitality and Endurance by 1, Adaptability by 2, and decreases Dexterity by 1.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit

with the power of this weapon I can finally beat the last giant
If only this was in Elden Ring. I might finally be able to beat Malenia!!!

Using this weapon as a Cleric with 5 dexterity will fail the stat requirements because the weapon itself will lower your dexterity to 4. If you're a pure strength user using only weapons that require 4 Dex, you can essentially get 4 free virtual levels distributed between Endurance, Vitality and Adaptability.

Just wait until some PvP god humiliates you with this thing in the arena.

Anon below me really proving that the Intelligence stat is NOT the same thing as your Irl intelligence

got a number of really obvious hackers in this pages comments claiming this is some kind of super weapon that can 2-hit bosses.
- Anonymous
so, just got this and...man, you guys meme'd the heck out this thing. this thing is garbage and does less damage than a dagger.
would take forever to beat ANY boss with this trash.

Don't believe the idiots who say this weapon is useless, this thing is absolutely disgustingly strong, I literally 2-shot Fume Knight with this and stopped using it just because it was so insanely powerful it made the entire game a complete joke, If you feel like just obliterating everything in Drangleic and going on an unstoppable reign of blood, this thing is your weapon

Best weapon in the game, especially infused with raw, but you have to be 50% hollow.
I basically 2-shot Lord Drangleic with this thing!

The Ladle does not increase any base stats. That information is blatantly false.

A guy invaded me today duel wielding these weapons of mass destruction. Got destroyed after he parried me and switched to some dagger instakilling me. ( Idk what dagger this is my first playthrough : / ) Anyway, I went back to where he killed me and the dude left like 80 cracked red eye orbs and left the two ladles he was wielding. One was +10 and the other was +10 with poison. He also left a red string ring, thing. Whoever you are I hope you read this and... I love you.
He also waited for me to finish killing some mobs before he attacked me. A true gentleman.

Pls buff. I can't use it. Only the most patient hittless players could ever use it.

Really useful for SL1 since it raises many stats and you will go for raw anyways. It's also available as early as you can get a branch of yore, which is the forest

“He who chooses this as a weapon either faces extenuating circumstances or has an odd sense of humor” Is the game making fun of my naked ladle build?

I think Milibeth was stirring the pot when she decided to give us this as a reward... ... what?!

Mundane Handmaid's ladle + mundane build = SUPREME MUNDANE CHEF

It's pretty OP if you put poison on it. Like 200-300+ Poison damage fully upgraded depending on your stats.

can you get the benefits of this item (the passive ones) by equipping it in one of your offhand slots? can you also get them by two-handing a weapon and having this in your left/right hand?
''This weapon would be very useful if in Dark Souls 2 there was Estus Soup'' the worst joke ever!
