Heide Spear is a weapon in Dark Souls 2.
A spear originating in Heide.
A special alloy makes it very durable.
The composition of the alloy of these spears remains a mystery, but in Drangleic the attempt to imitate it resulted in the similar bradden steel.
Acquired From
- Drops from the spear-wielding Heide Knights in the Lost Bastille
- Drops from the spear-wielding Heide Knight in Heide's Tower of Flame (SotFS)
- Guaranteed drop from the Heide Knight in Sinners' Rise (SotFS)
Hints and Tips:
- Upgrades with regular titanite
- This weapon shares it's move set with the Stone Soldier Spear.
- Lightning infusion is a straightforward upgrade for this spear, it loses a neglectable amount of physical damage.
- This is the best spear in the game for pure faith or dex/faith build. Technically, Yorgh's Spear has more AR, but it requires 30 str and has a resistance penalty. Difference is very small though, usually around 10-15 AR. Generally speaking, its not worth 18 more stat points into str.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.

So here's a question: why infuse this with lightning and not with fire? The get almost the same base damage but instead of B scaling on lightning you get B scaling on both lighning and fire, both of which scale direcly off faith.

i've killed the sinners rise one 5 times in a row no spear, it just has a guaranteed drop not specifically for the spear just like the one in gutter

Good as an off hand weapon with a big slow one like the sacred chime hammer just don't forget to infuse it

Got one from the Knight in Sinner's and one from the Knight in the Gutter. Both on NG. Worth mentioning that circling them with a shield and backstabbing is a foolproof method of making sure they die and you don't.

In my opinion, this is the best melee weapon to farm souls in Iron Keep, especially for noobs (like me). Not so fast as others spears, but very balanced if infused with lightning.

I killed the one in bastille the same time he killed me, and I lost the spear and the souls. Does he respawn with a bonfire aethestic

i killed the knight in sinners rise but he didn't drop the spear :(
There is a Heide Knight sitting in a cell in Sinner's Rise, right before the boss fight. He has been the only place I can get the Heide Spear.
