Insolent Set is an Attire or Armor in Dark Souls 2. Armor sets do not provide specific benefits, so players are free to mix and match their preferred parts to optimize their Builds.

Set Location
- Sold by Grave Warden Agdayne (27,9k) in Undead Crypt.
- [Scholar of The First Sin] Pieces are dropped by any of the 11 Insolent Spirits that spawn throughout Undead Crypt once two sconces next to Undead Ditch bonfire are lit. Spirits do not respawn and drops are not fixed (except for 2 – see the corresponding page), so Bonfire Ascetic might be required to farm the entire set.
Notes
- Upgraded with regular Titanite.
- Helm grants +2 to Faith.
- Although it doesn't look exactly the same, the chestpiece can be used to cosplay Solaire of Astora from Dark Souls.

I got extremely lucky with this set it seems I used an ascetic to respawn velstadt for his soul and decided to kill these guys for the fragrant branch of yore and they dropped all 4 pieces of the set which wearing covetous gold ring +2 watchdog parma prisoners tatters and jesters hat

Interestingly, this set's grey/brown leather will look blue under certain lighting, such as in Earthen Peak.

So on my normal NG Cycles I got 3 out of the 5 possible items. (No helmet no shield) and now in NG+ I got multiple Ascetics, spices, the branch and one twinkling titanite (which I didn't even knew they could drop) but not one part of the set. Also one of the spirits yeeted themself of the cliff in an attempt to plunge on me making me lose yet another possible drop. Sometimes I hate and love RNG.

I just noticed this, but the stronger skeletons that spawn when you kill one of the Skeleton Lords where a tattered version of the chest. They're the ones with the crowns by the way

does item discovery work with them?
they seem to have 1 guaranteed random drop between spices, pieces of armor and bonfire ascetics (except one that will always drop a branch of yore) so to me it seems pretty useless to use gear to increase your item discovery

Don’t waste your time and bonfire ascetics. They didn’t drop the armor but drop the helm,gloves and boots. I alr used 4 bonfire ascetics

I only can count 10. But hey, got the entire set in 3 Bonfire Ascetics. Put your best farming gear on. Mine was Symbol of Avarice, Prisoners Tatters, Gold Serpent ring, Dragon Parma. Good luck!
So basically if I want to make a crusader cosplay with this chestpiece and the heide knight helm, I have to luck out on the non-respawning heide knights in vanilla and I have to luck out on the non-respawning Insolent spirits in SotFS? Why From? I just want to take back the holy land.

Spirits do NOT respawn with Bonfire Ascetic. Have tried multiple times, changing covenants and restarting system (XB1).

Anybody have helm, armor, amd pants? Would rather not bonfire ascetic farm this if somebody has and does not want
I'm mad becuase I wanted this armor set to make a Crusader fashion but you have to farm it from enemies that don't spawn after getting killed. I don't understand why the devs didn't let us buy it or something. Also, **** the low drop rate from all the souls game.
