King's Ultra Greatsword is a weapon in Dark Souls 2.
An ultra greatsword forged from the soul of King Vendrick.
Inflicts heavy damage on enemy armor.
Only the king knows whether the depiction of the Queen is a resentful mockery, or an affectionate exaltation.
Acquired From
- Trading the Soul of the King + 10,000 souls with Weaponsmith Ornifex.
Hints and Tips:
- Upgraded with Petrified Dragon Bone to +5
- Moveset identical to the Crypt Blacksword.
- Does 3 durability damage to ENEMY Armor/Rings per hit, useful for breaking low durability items and armor like Third Dragon Ring and the Old Knight Set.
- With 40 STR and 40 DEX it has physical AR of 632. 2nd highest of the game after the Smelter Hammer.
- Outscales the Smelter Hammer for the highest AR in the game at 87 STR 10 DEX (compared to a Smelter Hammer at 91 STR 6 DEX).

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.

The second R1 is really fast and great to stagger most enemies, it lacks reach compared to other ultra greatswords overall amazing weapon to go for if you are using greatsword

It's a weapon in the Ultra Greatsword category, with the moveset of a Great Axe, and it hits like a Great Hammer, not to mention the fact it's literally a statue of Queen on a stick that you're using to smash the hell out of people with, god this game had some really cool and unique weapons.
- Anonymous
It would've been really cool if this and the Ruler's Sword were merged together, by making it so once the durability breaks on this weapon, the statue shatters to reveal the Ruler's Sword underneath, changing it's moveset and damage type
Would make it like the Ultra-greatsword answer to the santier's spear
Although I get why it isn't like that for the people who like this weapon as it is, but It would be a very fitting weapon to be another "Breakable Weapon"
- Anonymous
Really stretching the definition of "Ultra-greatsword" with this statue-on-a-stick
- Anonymous
Underrated weapon for both PvP and PvE. Hit like a truck, strike damage and has a long reach. It's best when coupled with a high poise armor, and then it's just easy mode

Kinda wish it transformed when broken like santier spear does. Like, you break the weapon, the statue of the queen collapses and reveals a black-pitch jagged blade with nashandra's true face as the guard of the curved greatsword it would become.
- Anonymous
Ultra Greatswords: Normally a long and thick blade
King's Ultra Greatsword: Statue on a stick

This is the weakest endgame greathammer. I compare it to greathammers because of the strike damage. Plus, it's a fuc king hammer. It does not do as much damage as it should given its high AR. At 707 AR it does 10% less per R1 than giant warrior club which only has 723 AR. It does about 2% less than the Dragon's Tooth at 649 AR. Quite a balancing issue given this weapons high weight and requirements. Perhaps in PvP this is offset by the damage to equipment. I wouldn't know, the servers have been offline for months. :(

Why does the wiki say with 40/40 you get 632? This is an S scaling str weapon, who in their right mind is gonna be putting 40 points into Dex when it has an S scaling in str and E scaling in Dex lmao.

If you want to beat your foes to death with a giant mother****ing statue, this is the weapon for you.
- Anonymous
Basically, if Vandrick really used this sword before he went hollow, our old king is using a figure of his wifu to beat enemies.

Its a statue on a stick. And it does insane damage and poise damage. You can stunlock and 3 shot people no problem. The hard part is hitting people.
- Anonymous
The damage are massive so do the weight , when i use this thing in battle I have to use soldier ring or unequip some equipment to be able to fast roll
Infused with fire seemed to do more damage for some reason. If no counter damage involved has highest damage output but falls behind if involved due to low 110 while most ultra greatswords scale on 130.
You can literally use it as shield has insane defense stats.

TFW you realize Dark Souls 2 is one big cautionary tale about the dangers of simping. Never let a woman lead you to ruin, kings!
- Anonymous
If you break it (a la Santier's spear) you end up with a fairly brand new looking version of the sword he fights you with, and it seems to have about +5% souls gained bonus. Not sure on the scaling and stuff yet as I just now finished breaking it before having to go to work (where I'm posting this)

,,Only the king knows whether the depiction of the Queen is a resentful mockery, or an affectionate exaltation. "
,,or an affectionate exaltation"
so it's a simp

The weapon also deals bonus damage against armoured opponents, dealing insane damage against enemies like the pursuer, ruin sentinels etc.; not sure if it also works in PvP tho.

Still one of my fav Weapons. Its a ****in Statue which hits so hard and has a fantastic moveset for pvp
- Anonymous
You know I made this sword and fully upgraded it during a strength build thinking I would get the sword Vendrick used during hos boss fight so I could replace my greatsword and stop cosplaying Guts only to get an ugly statue on a stick. It did save my ass when my sword broke during the boss at the end of the Frigid Outskirts so that’s a plus. Pulling that off made the fight much more epic.

Who wrote the tips section thinking people will be actually using this with a 40/40 character?
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
That thing was too big to be called a sword. Too big, too thick, too heavy, and too rough, it was more like a large hunk of iron.
- Anonymous
I was surprised when I forged this "Sword" only to see its a freckin Club...statue... Thingy...
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
Sure, it may be powerful, but it's so damn ugly! It looks like someone took a statue and glued a handle on to it

Kings Ultra Greatsword deals more damage than Fume Ultra Greatsword at +5. Damage is not most important in weapon selection but I'm positive that if Fume had 5% less reach or one of its strong attacks would be slightly worse this sword would made Fume Ultra Great Sword bad choice. The way it is Kings Ultra Greatsword is good alternative to Fume Ultra Great Sword. Amonmg Top 10 weapon's in the game.

Scumlord Equipment Break Build is as follows. 1.) Weapons: King's Ultragreatsword, Greatbow w/ Destructive Arrows, and Bleed Flamberge or Katana/Dagger of your preference to keep an unpredictable mix of attacks w/ bleed effect. 2.) Armor: Either Jester's set or Ironclad set to nullify backstabs. 3.) Rings: Stone Ring, Ivory Warrior Ring, Ring of Thorns, and Ring of Giants (helps keep you from getting stunlocked so you can flee if necessary). 4.) Miscellaneous: Implement hexes such as Promised Walk of Peace, Dark Storm, and Lifedrain Patch; keep Acid Surge pyromancy handy. 5.) Attack Strategy: Be irksome AF by running around shooting destructive arrows and throwing corrosive urns. When enemy closes distance, wallop on them w/ ultragreatsword or other weapons to give them bleed. The hexes and pyromancies are to amplify proximity effect when they close distance, encouraging them to stay away so you can keep throwing urns/shooting arrows at them.

the king's ultra greatsword deals strike damage, not slash/thrust damage. it's the only ugs that deals solely strike damage. should probably update this with that info

Ugh, this weapon is so ugly. But it's also amazing with strength builds, so...

This sword's durability is 220 not 100. At least in scholar of the first sin edition

At the end of the hande where the sword part starts seems to be something like a Crown

This seems to be an ultra greatsword version of the demons greathammer so it swings faster so isn't this weapon just superior to the demons greathammer
Smacking people with a litteral statue is metal as ****.
