DS2 Light Crossbow Hints and Tips
- You can cancel the aiming of any crossbow and attack instead with the weapon held in your other hand,
- By pressing (Y/Triangle) and immediately following it up with a light or heavy attack.
- If you infused it with fire, you can detonate explosive barrels and ignite objects with any ammunition you picked, making it handy as a detonator.
- Alternately: infuse it with Raw or Enchanted for better damage output.
- Can be used while two-handed on a SL1 run, as strength requirements are rounded down while two-handing.

- Upgrades weapon to scale by the player's lowest stat, but decreases weapon base damage by about 50% and decreases the original stat scaling. Mundane weapon does not gain damage until all nine stat attributes are leveled once equally. Weapons with higher scaling, base damage and that generally weigh more have a better effect from mundane yet still is effective for faster/smaller/low-scaling weaponry.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.

This thing has hilariously gotten me a lot of kills in pvp due to it's surprise factor. Some one runs away to chug their sunny D? Bolt in the ass or crotch and boom dead.

it might be a bug, but a deprived class with 6 strength can effectively two hand this, even though it requires 13 strength and not 12. Makes this a good choice for sl1 runs
The only crossbow you will find for a long time the game.
