Mad Warrior Set is an Attire or Armor in Dark Souls 2. Armor sets do not provide specific benefits, so players are free to mix and match their preferred parts to optimize their Builds.
"[armor piece] from an unknown foreign land.
King Vendrick called upon powers from beyond his borders in an attempt to stave off the curse. Perhaps they belonged to one of his guests."
Set Location
- Dropped by dark spirit Mad Warrior in Belfry Sol.
- Dropped by a group of dark spirits Prowlers in Brume Tower.
Notes
- Upgraded with Twinkling Titanite.
- Mad Warrior only appears when members of the Bell Keepers covenant pass through Belfry Sol. Drops are not guaranteed, but it's certain that he will drop the entire set and Berserker Blade without repetitions once per each NG cycle and then will drop nothing (but will keep respawning).
- Mask grants +2 ADP.
- The mask bears a striking resemblance to Predator's mask.

Anyone know if the Delicate String influences his appearances in Belfrey Sol when in Bell Keepers?

For those who don't know, when the Prowlers "invasion" happens in Brume Tower, you're still able to rest at the bonfire just up the stairs. Doing this will reset the Prowlers, and it'll allow you to farm them for this armor and the Berserker Blade. Just don't kill all every Prowler spawn, otherwise the "invasion" won't happen again because the "invasion" will technically be won, preventing it from reoccurring.

How is ds2 the worst of the three with armour sets like this and many others. Even their weapons and spells are so unique.

I killed the Mad Warrior over and over again 53 times to get this set and the Berserker Blade. Took me about 3 hours. It wasn't nearly as bad as farming for the Heide Knight set tho.
The 0 poise defence has been fixed on the table at the top. It now sits at the correct 58 poise.

there is no way this isnt a Predators reference, From must like alien movies

some random guy invaded me at heide's and dropped this entire set fully upgraded and dove into the water

Apart from the mask this set is what most resembles a samurai armor in the entire game

This might be the most aggravating grind for any item I've ever had in a souls game. They've dropped every item except the chestpiece, which is the only one I actually need. And now I'm boned since I'm fighting ng+3 variants and can't even get past the first guy. There's still a chance they won't even drop it, which means I'll be double boned since I'm all out of ascetics.
****ing prowlers

So i dont know when it happened but this set has poise. maybe it was with Scholar, but this page needs updating.

Here's a tip for an easy farm: Farm the Prowlers in brume tower, but dont kill the last one of them, they drop the entire set and the weapon, and can even drop duplicates, including the weapon but dont kill the last red spirit or you wont get invaded again, instead, kill yourself to return to the bonfire, rinse and repeat

Kinda sucks that an armor set this heavy doesn't add poise but whatever, looks are worth it

This armor looks like Skeleton King boss from SotN (saturn version).

To anyone still wanting to get this armor: Mad Warrior is pretty much guaranteed to drop a piece of armor or the blade if you let him use estus during the fight. Whenever i killed him fast, nothing. If he healed himself, he dropped his armor and blade, a piece at a time. It only took me about an hour with the covetous ring, watchdog shield, and the explorer cap.

Really excellent parts for fashion and overall good protection. I use Mad Warrior Gauntlets and Leggings with Hood of the Forlorn and Llewellyn Chest and King's Shield for a dark wanderer type of look. I also swap between Scythe of Want, Dragonrider Twinblade, Black Knight Ultra Greatsword, Curved Nil Greatsword, Forlorn Greatsword, and Blacksteel Katana.
