Old Mirrah Greatsword is a weapon in Dark Souls 2.
Greatsword issued to the proud knights of Mirrah's official order.
This greatsword demands advanced skill in a rare and unique sword technique.
A tiny message is inscribed in the blade, a promise to someone special.
Acquired From
- Extremely rare drop in Aldia's Keep from Dark Spirit Aslatiel of Mirra.
Hints and Tips:
- Despite being a very rare drop, The Mirrah Greatsword is still a better choice, since it has higher damage and it being available early game.
- The Old Mirrah Greatsword is practically the same as the Mirrah Greatsword, but mostly acquirable for bragging rights.
- Upgraded with regular Titanite to +10.
- Has 20 durability compared to the Mirrah Greatsword's 60.
- After Patch 1.15 it has 110 base damage and S scaling in Dex. Also Dex requirement changes to 33. At 99 dex and 20 str Old Mirrah Greatsword+10 deals 382dmg (220 base + 162 bonus damage), which is less than Mirrah Greatsword 396 (250 + 146) with the same stats. At 99 str and dex it is still deals less damage than Mirrah Greatsword (430 vs 450).

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.
Regular(R), Thrust(T), Slash(Sl), Strike(St)

the drop rate isnt "very rare", just the weapon itself is because the guy who drops it only spawns once (without ascetics) and you're probably not going to get a ~5% drop rate item in 1 encounter.

The most pointless weapon to ever exist, literally the exact same thing as the Mirrah Greatsword, but worse in every conceivable way with absolutely abysmal durability to boot, It doesn't even look different so it's not like anyone's gonna be using it because they prefer the look of it or anything, Why does this even exist?
- Anonymous
I think these rare invader drops merely exist to give bonfire ascetics a reason to exist.

Farm this weapon only if you're collecting bonfire ascetic and petrified dragon bone in the same area using ascetic. Otherwise don't bother

I got it first run randomly, didn't even use it and just found out it's rare. Good thing I didn't sell it
“Available early game”. No, Aldia’s Keep is NOT early game.
To enter Aldia’s Keep you need the King’s Ring, to get the Kings Ring you must acquire it after beating the first boss of the Undead Crypt. To Enter the Undead crypt you have to go through Shrine of Amana. To get through Shrine of Amana you must have cleared Drangelic Castle. To enter Drangelic Castle you must first unlock the Winter Shrine, either but high soul count or acquiring the big bosses’ souls. To get to the Winter Shrine you must make it to the shaded woods’ second bonfire. To get to the Shaded Woods you must first use a Fragment of Yore on the cute pyromancy gf.
Even if you were to start out with one million souls on NG, you still must beat Dragonrider Twins, Looking-Glass Knight, Demon Froggo of Song, and Velsdat or whatever the knight’s name is that guards Vendrick’s lily pad. By this point nothing is stopping you from taking on the final bosses, so you would be half or most way through your play through.
