Special Attack: Power stanced with Reeve's Greatshield |
Orma's Greatshield is a Greatshield in Dark Souls 2. Greatshields can be used not only to block an enemy but allows player to do shield bash. (Great shields replaced parry ability with heavy shield bash)
Acquired From:
- Can be farmed from the two Imperious Knights in the Undead Crypt, along a long hallway with wall-phantoms near the 2nd bonfire
- Drops from Dark Spirit: Greatsword Bell Keeper
- Drops from Dark Spirit: Greatsword Phantom
- Drops from Dark Spirit: Woodland Child Gully in the Black Gulch (Scholar of the First Sin)
- Drops from Imperious Knight
Hints and Tips:
- You can use the Power Stance with this and Reeve's Greatshield; Reeve's must be in the right-hand slot and Orma's must be in the left-hand slot. These are the only shields in the game that can Power Stance. (Power Stance requires that you have 150% of the stats required for the item. You will need to have 50 Strength to power stance with the shields)
- The combo attack for the Power Stance consists of smashing the edges of the shields together in front of you. The closer the target is to the grinding point of the shields, the more damage it takes.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.

Orma's is the left half and Reeve's is the right. The images here are flip-flopped.

With the meta of thrusting weapons being what it is these suffer greatly in pvp. they are still really fun

there is 0 blocking frames active during the powerstance L2
and you can only block with the right shield in power stance

visions of joy
but
sadness ahead
these are very disappointing, you see them as a wall then you cant do that, you just slam them together which can be fun. plus it has a regular moveset for r2 which is lazy cause you dont even feel like your power stancing
glad they brought this back in 3 and made it proper...... no bone fist though

THE WALL
Easily one of my favourite items, huge damage output (when combined with its left-hand partner), doing great as a sole shield, can easily damage enemies that hide behind their own shields by dealing damage twice in a single attack (first attack staggers the enemy, and second one deals damage). Recommended for tanks.

How rare are the drops? I've killed like most of these phantoms and they didn't drop ****

The powerstance is dissapointing, discount great doors shield from ds3

Am I the only one who without knowledge that the imperious knights existed, thought that they were a set of doors or a weird wall, until I hit it to see if I had to break the wall

Real shame that the tower knights have awsome moves and attacks with these shields but all we get are the piddly crunching motion. I want to be able to slam one shield flat against the ground or repeatedly bash someone i just knocked prone in the gut dangit! Why couldn't they just copy-paste the knight movesets and give em to us?
"These are the only shields in the game that can Power Stance." Interesting.
