|Requirements & Bonus|
Pate's Set is an Attire or Armor in Dark Souls 2. Armor sets do not provide specific benefits, so players are free to mix and match their preferred parts to optimize their Builds.
Although it appears to be common helmet/armor/gloves/trousers, it has in fact been meticulously customized. Belonged to mild-mannered Pate.
This has been considerably altered. Perhaps it was pillaged.
- Given by Mild-mannered Pate upon finding him in Earthen Peak if he had been summoned to The Last Giant boss fight and survived.
- Sold by Merchant Hag Melentia (16,9k) if Pate is killed at any point of the game, including their fight with Creighton.
- Upgraded with regular Titanite.
- Helmet is the only piece offering Poise bonus.

Weirdly popular set - I see this everywhere.
can someone fix the image for the armor it's broken
It is as cool as the owner. He he he this phrase can have three senses
Doesnt this armor look like the hard leather armor in ds1?
Yeah, these two are just baby-fighting for a ring
Anyone notice how Creighton says "I almost thought you were that bastard" when you free him, and mentions the unusual ring Pate wears?
And how Pate gives you his ring AND his armor set without you ever needing to speak to Creighton? Almost as if Pate wanted Creighton to think you were Pate.
"Helmet is the only piece offering Poise bonus."
Pate's game is headstrong.
