Petrified Egg

A large petrified egg. Surely bears no life. Eggs are vessels that harbor life itself, and symbolize the deepest secrets of existence. But what does a petrified egg harbor?

Petrified Egg is a special tool item used to join a covenant in Dark Souls 2.

Usage

• Give to Magerold of Lanafir in Iron Keep to gain access to the Dragon covenant.

Location

• The Dragon Shrine: after you kill the enemy shooting lightning at you, go up the steps and kill a 2-handed and a shield/1-handed knight. Do not go through the door yet, look around for an area to jump off of next to two chests. One is a mimic so be careful. After killing a Drakekeeper and the NPC invader Dragonfang Villard, the Petrified Egg will be on an altar.

Notes

• The egg will not appear on the pedestal on further NGs if one is currently present in the player's inventory (ie: it was not given to Magerold in Iron Keep prior to the following Dragon Shrine visit)
