Possessed Armor Sword is a Straight Sword and one of the available Weapons in Dark Souls 2. Possesed Armor Sword can be obtained by defeating Possessed Armor enemies in the Crown of the Old Iron King DLC. When infused with Fire, its two-handed alternate strong attack provides a fire buff for approximately 20 seconds, similar to the Flame Weapon pyromancy.

Straight sword wielded by possessed armor.

Has a heated blade imbued with fire.

These suits of armor were once decorations, until the black fog ruling the tower seized control of them.

How to get Possessed Armor Sword in Dark Souls 2

DS2 Possessed Armor Sword Hints & Tips

  • Two-handed Alternate Strong Attack buffs this weapon with fire, similiar to Flame Weapon pyromancy.
  • Buff lasts ~20 seconds.
  • Recommended to infuse with Fire since this weapon has E scaling for STR and DEX while it has C scaling for Fire. Once infused, Fire scaling will reach B.
  • One handed rolling and one handed strong attack is a downward swing similar to the Bastard Sword, this is shared by Red Rust Sword and many one handed axes.
  • When the weapon is broken, the hot orange area will disappear, and the sword will only resemble blackened steel. Repairing the sword will return it to its original state
  • To easily farm with no risk, open the door by the upper floor bonfire and use the flame traps to burn the Possessed Armor.
  • Using a Great Hammer 2H R2 (PANCAKE!) makes for easy farming Possessed Armor anywhere.
  • Care should be taken to use as many items to enhance item discovery as Bonfire Ascetics DO NOT revive Possessed Armor enemies; however, being in Company of Champions DOES respawn the Possessed Armor enemies.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.

this might sound irrelevant or dumb to assume since it has its own buff, but i assumed you would be able to use flame weapon on this since it's a regular titanite weapon which is also listed as buffable. im like 20 hours into my hex/pyro build rn and finally got bored of using a 20 second buff that destroys my weapon so i respawned lost sinner, killed her and got flame weapon and realised it doesn't work :/ so if anyone's planning to use this don't bother getting flame weapon or a spell slot, and definitely go get the +2 bracing knuckle ring coz the buff consumes 10 out of your 50 durability which the wiki also doesn't bother mentioning

i had no idea that this had a self buff if you press the parry button while two handed, this means that if you're going for a true pyro build, you don't have to waste one precious spell slot for flame weapon, and spell slots are very valuable for pyros, since pyromancies usually have less casts.

I feel like this weapon is outclassed by a fire infused bandit axe on a pyromancer
          - Lower damage
          -higher stat requirements
+straight sword moveset arguably superior (although especially this weapon shares a lot with axes)

I don't know how strong the buff is, but 20 second duration is very low compared to the 90 sec of flame weapon
