The Lion Clan are an offshoot race that have no ties to humans, and would murder anyone with the curious notion of approaching them. 

The lion clansmen seem to despise their own looks, as they hate being seen." 

 

Location

  • Dropped by Golden-maned Lion Clan Warrior found in Shaded Woods, below the arena with Manscorpion Tark. That lion spawns only once and the cape is a rare drop.
    • [Scholar of the First Sin] That lion is moved to ruins straight on the path from bonfire.

 

Notes

  • Upgraded from Titanite.
  • Offers second highest curse resistance (equal to that of Retainer's Robe).
  • Reduces falling damage.

        On PS3 this Lion does respawn.

        Using prisioner Head and Chest, Gold Serpent Ring +2 and Watchdragon Parma I got it in the fourth attempt. Could use a Rusted Coin, then it's the maximum Lucky. Be careful though, you may keep the coin buff for 5 minutes as long as you do not die nor use Aged Feather/Homeward Bone. You should go back to the bonfire walking, as fast as possible. Resting in bonfire do not cancel the lucky effect. You should have no [bigger] trouble farming it.

        The red color is dull, but it's noticeably different from the common Lion Warrior Chest, and also, it's stats are higher.

          SOFTS directions are pretty vague - anyone got more specific description? Which landmark? Past which buildings or enemies?

              PS4 SotFS, decided to farm this on my low-SM build (SM39000, level 35) after killing him at bonfire intensity 1 and not getting a drop... used the close-app-and-try-again-before-it-autosaves method and only had to do so once (killed him three times in total!) but I was slightly disappointed at how dull red it is. I was hoping for vibrant red. Nonetheless, bragging rights... if any new players even notice I have it when they summon me at the Forest, lol.

                Anyone knows what gauntlets are the ones on the image? seems like the drakekeeper's but reddish. I used the prisoner hood, prisoner tatters, covetous gold ring +2 and rusted coin. took me over 40 attempts to get the bloody thing. I joined the champions covenants and it seemed to affect the drop rate. After I joined I stop getting drops from other enemies but it could be just my bad luck.
