Royal Soldier is an enemy in Dark Souls 2 (DKS2). Royal Soldier, once vital and robust, now bearing battle scars and exhaustion. As part of the Drangleic Army under Captain Drummond's command, they defended the fort against the invading Giants. Enemies have their own behavior and unique attacks, killing enemies provide various drops that reward players with items and souls.

Many of those who died during the battle rose again as Hollows and have continued to watch over the fort to this very day

They will allways stagger you regardless of how much poise you have. I was wearing Havels set with the Moniture Helm and Ring of Giants +2 (max poise) and they poise broke me every hit.
