Scimitar is a weapon in Dark Souls 2.
A small curved sword with a narrow blade.
The rapid slashing of the lightweight scimitar hardly allows the victim to catch a breath. Has a sharp blade, but is rather ineffective against armour and hard skin.
Acquired From
- Treasure pickup in the secret area accessed by riding the top of the elevator that runs between the Lost Bastille and No-Man's Wharf.
- Dropped by Hollow scimitar-wielders in No-Man's Warf.
- Starting equipment from the Swordsman (+1 version)
- Drops from the varangian swordsmen in No-Mans Wharf
Hints and Tips:
- Upgraded with regular Titanite to +10.
- Like all curved swords, the Scimitar has excellent directional adjustment and tracking which allows you not only pressure the enemy but also constantly face them so they can not punish your flurry of attacks with a back stab.
- The running attack is extremely powerful in PvP situations but also very easy to parry due to its wind up animation and is also countered by simply back stepping.
- When wielded in the left hand, strong attack is a parry.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.

It rakes with a light build. You can easily beat bosses by going behind after an attack. Then hitting multiple times for higher damage than a Greatsword can do in 2 hits. I recommended this weapon early game. Use rolls to git gud.
After ds1 and 3 i'm onto you fromsoft. Can't hide that elevator secret.
