The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".

When I first aquaired this weapon and saw the INT and FTH requirements, I thought that it would have some cool dark damage special effect or a attack but turned out to be a real stamina killer (especially when doing strong atacks). Long story short I was dissapointed.

This or forlorn Scythe? I really like the strong R2. But should I infuse it with dark?
- Anonymous
It has the moveset of scythe of the forlorn without the disadvantage of having to be hollow. Nice damage and the satisfying two handed strong attack.

scythes are pretty difficult to use but when you hit that sweetspot its so satisfying...

Has the page been locked? I wanted to put an update in about a unique R2 attack the SoW has that is not listed. At +5, on my all-20's character (20 str/dex/int/faith), this attack can do roughly 500+ damage and as far as I know, has a unique animation among Reaper weapons where the player takes a step back in place while twirling it similar to a twinblade R2 I believe? Hits I believe 3 times for a large amount of stamina, and seems to have good stagger potential in both PvP and PvE, and even hits enemies on your right side/close to your right backside oddly enough. Maybe that was lag from online play however, but it was a good deterrent against a backstab.
