Twinblade is a weapon in Dark Souls 2.

A twinblade fashioned from rare geisteel. Designed for high-ranking Drangleic knights, hence the decorative design.

Geisteel equipment is of the finest make, but geisteel is so rare that very few of these weapons were actually used in combat.

Acquired From

  • Lost Bastille: If you have Antiquated Key, from the starting bonfire (or McDuff), walk into the courtyard where the mummy  falls from the platform. Open the door there and proceed through the area, wary of one mummy in the room. 4 dogs wait in a courtyard.
  • If you don't have it: From the Servants' Quarters bonfire, walk up the stairs to the door. Cross a small bridge, and fight one staff wielding mummy (behind him is a body with loot). Then, walk into the tower. Exit the tower on the ground floor through the other door, wary of the second staff wielding mummy. Then, walk down the roofs and drop into the courtyard. There are 4 dogs, after killing them, you may want to knock the stone into the well, pulling up the 3 normal mummies. There is a ladder on the side of the smallish building, beyond the well. Kill the 3 royal swordsmen (one in window, one on ledge, one in room), then go into the other room (getting the loot at the top of the grate first), and kill the two royal swordsmen. It is in one of the 3 chests in this room.
  • Can be purchased from Weaponsmith Ornifex for 5000 souls. Located at Brightstone Cove Tseldora.
  • A +7 version can be found in Memory of the Old Iron King.

Hints and Tips:

  • The base damage of this weapon is low, but you hit your enemy several times with each attack. This makes it advised to add either bleeding or poison to the weapon, because the effect buildup is much faster than with other weapon types.
  • Power Stance moveset is identical to Halberd-type weapons.

The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".

pretty middling weapon when i tried to experiment with it (plus it went well with my fit), most i can say is use a weapon buff spell or aux item like the bleed/poison buff items and hope for good results. ended up keeping it around too cause i can count weapons with more than 40 durability in this game on one hand

I remember hating this thing when I found it on my first playthrough. I have no idea what changed but I'm having a blast with it now! Don't let that low base damage fool you. This beast hits two to three times per attack, and with proper stamina investment, the combos melt health bars. At least in PVE. No clue about PVP.

I infused it with poison and now it's trash. What's the point of slow ticking away enemies/bosses health when you can just kill them faster with pure damage? The longer time to kill just makes u more likely to get hit/die while waiting.

good weapon to help you get through most areas. for armored bosses, use a hammer-type weapon for i learned this trick for Ruin Sentinels, Gargoyles and other similar opponents
