Set Location
- Helm is given by Head of Vengarl found in the clearing of the foggy part of Shaded Woods. Exhaust all of his dialogue options to receive the helm.
- Other pieces are dropped by Vengarl's body, found next to primal bonfire past The Duke's Dear Freja .
- [Scholar of the First Sin] Vengarl's body is found in Shaded Woods, past Shaded Ruins bonfire, below the arena occupied by Manscorpion Tark (petrified Lion Warriors on either side, revive one of them to pass).
Notes
- Upgraded with Twinkling Titanite.
- Upgraded stats are only 40% higher, not the usual 50%.
- Helm grants +2 to VIT.
- In addition to fearsome looks, helm offers defenses on par with light/medium armor chestpieces.

Amazing looking armor and neat stats too. It's a perfect armor for a sellsword/mercenary type. One of my favorites from the game along with Heide Knight, Alva, and Rampart Golem sets.

Good looking set, very good defenses and poise for the weight. Not too hard to get either, and Vengarl himself is a total bro (that also has infinite gold pine resin)

The helm and chest piece combined with engraved gauntlets and smelter demon leggings provides all around protection.

This armor set apparently changes the way you attack with left-handed slash/thrust weapons when you hold the two-hand button while you have another sword on the right hand

SOOOOO I found out (sadly) if you manage to drop Vengarl's headless body into the river in Shaded Woods in Sotfs, you WILL lose the entire set, except the head piece (for obvious reasons). Although that DS3 is already released, I think that this should be added to the Wiki for completion's sake (I am going to test whether I can get the set if I uses a bonfire ascetic).
I tried to join fextra for months since i noted that helm has a hidden effect that raises vitality by 2 points, not a big deal, but it still needed to be added
Despite the fact that this is usually considered to be one of the most glaring signs that someone is a newbie in PVP, this set is so fire fashion-wise and the good stats and high poise undeniably make it one of the better armor sets in the game if you can handle the rather heavy weight, It's a little tricky to mix and match with it since not too many other armor sets go well with it's color palette though
