Greatshields Strike / Parry
Enchantable:
Yes/No
No Special

Wicked Eye Greatshield is a GreatShield in Dark Souls 2. Greatshields can be used not only to block an enemy but allows player to do shield bash. (Great shields replaced parry ability with heavy shield bash)

Acquired From:

  • Iron chest in the Gutter before the second bonfire

Hints and Tips:

  • While the shield is held, each kill gives the wielder a small amount of health, roughly the same amount as a regular Ring of the Evil Eye.
  • Stacks with the Ring of the Evil Eye.

Notes:

  • This is one of the selected by From and Namco Bandai.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.

It says it stacks with Wicked Eye Greatshield, but oddly enough, if you equip Ring of Evil Eye+2 and Wicked Eye Greatshield, no health leeching on kills occur. The shield stacks with Loyce Armor / Charred Loyce Armor / Ivory King Armor, and so does the ring, but the +2 ring will completely negate any health leeching from kills if the shield is also equipped. Also: for a powerful tank / cleric build equip Ivory King Armor (as woman), use Ring of Evil Eye+2, Ring of Restoration, Loyce Shield / Charred Loyce Shield and Butcher Knife. Constant health regeneration + health regeneration on kill + health regeneration on hit.

the hand with the eye goes ultimatly back to Ishtar, an ancient deity of love and war with lions as her pets and kings kneeling before her in the dust. Judaism and christianiy made her a male demon known as Asmodeus but in islamic countries her symbol, the hand with an eye, the "hamsa", is a lucky charm. Gozer in the movie Ghostbusters is highly inspired by Ishtar.
