Notched Whip is a Whip and one of the available Weapons in Dark Souls 2. Nothced Whip is a unique weapon that is covered in spikes, making it effective at causing bleeding damage. It is particularly useful against enemies with bare flesh but is less effective against armored foes.

How to get Notched Whip in Dark Souls 2
- Item pick-up in Huntsman's Copse after second bonfire (Bridge Approach), the corpse with the Notched Whip is located on a higher ledge which can be seen directly on leaving the bonfire room.
- A Notched Whip +7 Can be found in the Sunken King DLC(On a Corpse located by the Living Tree-thing where you find the Tranquil Walk of Peace Hex)
DS2 Notched Whip Hints and Tips
- Cannot be infused
- Since Calibration 1.08, the hit detection for power stanced whips are fixed.
- If you power stance two Notched Whips and equipped with Crest of Blood and Shadow Gauntlets, it will apply bleed within approximately 1-2 hits.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.

Stone Ring + Ring of Blades + Crest of Blood in powerstance = unstoppable wrecking machine. Even enemies who can't be bled (take off CoB) still take a lot of damage.
