Weapons in Dark Souls 2 are a strategic and important choice for the player. The player will be encouraged to discover and deeply learn a weapon that suits their style of play and preference, with subtle parameters affecting the weapon's performance in combat. If you would like to learn more about each weapon, visit their page, or check out the combat page for specific explanations on how to master the game.

How to choose a weapon in Dark Souls 2?

Players create builds around specific weapons that have good movesets, deal significant damage, or are easily obtained. Some players choose weapons for their cosmetic appearance, but in most cases it is advisable to refer to the scaling and upgrading path of weapons to determine if the output is beneficial to the character in pve, pvp or both. The following categories of weapons have details on their base damage, and all individual pages feature infusion charts, with some extending to full moveset videos.

So, question. I've got two characters, a warrior and a swordsman. For my first I have the red iron twinblade and at +10 it has 340 base damage. I just picked it up for my swordsman and it has only 180 at. +10.

Too many weapons, yet many of them have exactly the same moveset, with minor differences in stats
Only idiots would think this is better than DS3

Hi, I never played Dark Souls 1 or the original Dark Souls 2, I started with Scholar of the First Sin, and I love the game. I am a fan of the greatswords, so I really want some opinions about which one is the best of the Greatswords.

I'm making a planner for a character that uses swords, but this only has a small list of daggers on it. y u no sword, great sword, ultra great sword, axe, great axe, ?ultra great axe?, spears, halberds, fist weapons, whips, catalysts, shields, great shields, ultra great shields, and Binoculars?
