      This (and other consumables with similar stat increasing effects) does not enable certain NPC interactions with stat requirements. For example, Felkin the Outcast will only offer services if you have 8 faith and 8 intelligence. I had 8 intelligence but only 5 faith, and tried using one of these to make my faith 10 temporarily. This did NOT, however, unlock his services. I even tried using one and then resting at the nearby bonfire to see if that changed things...but to no avail.
