Available to purchase from Carhillion of the Fold or Magerold of Lanafir. A copy can also be obtained in a chest in Earthen Peak past the locked door near Mild Mannered Pate. To get past the door go up the ramp, turn right, and carefully drop down.

Easily the best spell in the game. Once you get an infinite supply of those you only ever need it and soul spear for all your damage dealing.
With maxed out stats Dark Orb does more damage than this mediocre garbage in late game...
