Mastodon Greatsword is a Greatsword and one of the available Weapons in Dark Souls 2. Mastodon Greatsword is a powerful weapon that players seek for its strong attacks and versatility. This weapon can be upgraded to +10 using regular Titanite and has the same moveset as the Bluemoon Greatsword. 

Greatsword of the Primal Knights that defend Drangleic Castle.

The brutish and mighty Primal Knights wield this sword like a feather-light twig, but to the ordinary warrior it is a chore to even hold up, owing to its great weight.

Terrible experiments were said to have taken place in a hidden manor in Drangleic. The mastermind presiding over the deeds was known as Lord Aldia.

How to get Mastodon Greatsword in Dark Souls 2

• Treasure in Drangleic Castle near the first bonfire. Take a right out of the King's Gate bonfire to find a room with six soul-activated doors - three on either side (five filled with Ruin Sentinels, so take care.) The Mastodon Greatsword is found on the right side of the room in the middle doorway.
• Drops by Ducal Spider in lower Brightstone Cove Tseldora.
• Drops by Primal Knight enemies.

DS2 Mastodon Greatsword Hints and Tips

• Upgraded with regular Titanite to +10.
• Uses Bluemoon Greatsword moveset.
• Primarily intended for a strength or quality build as a Claymore and will do nearly the same damage when infused with an element.

Moveset:

• One-handed r1: Horizontal Slash.
• One-handed r2: Overhead Slash. Similar to the Zweihander one-handed r2.
• Two-handed r1: Horizontal Slash.
• Two-handed r2: 360 degree spin attack.
• One-handed roll attack: Quick thrust.
• Two-handed roll attack: 360 degree spin attack.
• One-handed and two-handed sprint attack: 360 degree spin attack.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.
