Memories of the Ancients
There are the 4 memories that can be accessed by using Ashen Mist Heart: you should interact with the dead Giants on the Forest of Fallen Giants and the dead Dragon in Brightstone Cove Tseldora. There is a new memory, added with the dlc from July 22nd Crown of the Sunken King.
They can be done in any order, co-op and pvp are not possible within the areas and you have limited access time.

I just find it really weird that there is a fourth giant at the Soldier's Rest bonfire but there is no memory there. Was it cut content?

Even though I have the ashen most heart it doesn’t let me into certain memories, specifically the giants

You have to get the ashen mist from the ancient dragon so just continue the main game till you meet it

where do you go once you have all four memory's? made it back to the dragon just to have him say nothing.
