Alonne Knight is an enemy in Dark Souls 2 (DKS2). Clad in Iron Armor, the Alonne Knights were trained by a visitor to the Iron Keep, and fight viciously with Katanas while their captains snipe with the Alonne Greatbow. Though the knights occupying these armors have long since turned to dust, they remain at their posts and active as spirits entombed within their armor. They are amazingly fast for such heavily-armored foes, and are capable of sudden advances and retreats using their weapon of choice, the Blacksteel Katana. Their armor has impressive physical resistance, but they are vulnerable to magical damage, quickly going down from lightning, magic, strike weapons, or darkness. Enemies have their own behavior and unique attacks, killing enemies provide various drops that reward players with items and souls.

Dark Souls 2 Alonne Knight Information

The Alonne Knights' loyalty to one another is the stuff of legends, and they held fast in their positions even as the once-great Iron Keep sank into the fiery earth.
The blades they wield were forged by one of the true artisans entertained by the Iron King during his kingdom's hayday

Alonne Knight Strategy Tips in Dark Souls 2

  • Try to avoid fighting Alonne Knights in groups as their slash attacks have substantial recovery. They're most susceptible to attack following their lunge attacks that have increased recovery time.
  • A Dagger+1 with Ring of Blades will one shot them with a backstab/riposte (in NG). Easier done using a shield and defending until they execute the lunge, then rolling and backstabbing.
  • Stone Ring can be very helpful for taking them down if you have a decently fast weapon (for e.g. a longsword).
  • Fighting one at a time will make the Iron Keep (or Shaded Woods on NG+) simpler.
  • Can be parried.
  • Immune to Yearn spell and Alluring Skull item.

DS2 Alonne Knight Notes

  • Defeated Alonne Knights will subtract 9 or 12 seconds from the length of a co-op session, depending on the location. A black phantom Alonne Knight will subtract 60 seconds. See Online for more detailed information about Multiplayer Time Limits.
  • The ones in the Memory also have more Poise, don't try attacking them while they are, they'll just tank it unlike the ones in Iron Keep.

These mfs are sensitive asf, as soon as i took a sneaky step in Iron Keep i had the whole army on my ass up until the fog gate.

These guys are a nightmare for a no hit run. They would seem to stand still and attack you out of nowhere in a split second you wouldn't even have time to roll.

          • Anonymous

Where there's one of these stupid weebs it feels like there's always a dozen of them, seriously the amount of these guys that swarm you all at once is just obnoxious

            • Anonymous

These guys are like goddamn cockroaches, not because they're obscenely hard to kill or anything, but just by the way they move, they're so erratic and randomly move so unnaturally fast

              • Anonymous

These guys are cool as enemies... But I also hope whoever was behind the enemy placement of these guys and decided they needed to be constantly only ever encountered in massive awful gank-squads goes and steps on legos covered in bullet ants

Me: LEAVE ME THE F ALONE MAN!!! I AM TRYING TO GET TO THE BOSS! YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS ARE ANNOYING SANIC BASTERD!!!!

What the ****?! I got hit by a bow guy from the entire main area of iron keep away?! Their arrows literally curved in mid air!

By far one of the most dangerous enemies for casters to deal with. Even luring one by one they can be a challenge depending on what you're using and your stats at the time. The ones in Memory of the Old Iron King are especially nasty.

My favorite is the first one in the room just passed the Bonfire behind the Smelter Demon. The sneaky pos will stare at you unmoving if you're in front of that door, but when you walk past the bridge way back in front of the furnace he will come running.

There’s also another weakness is that these guys are weak to strong thrust attacks. I poked them with a Longsword, 2-handed.

                            • Anonymous

Retarded enemy design. Full heavy iron armor clad knights who tiptoe around like ballerinas and use katanas. In what reality is that supposed to make sense?? They look cool but there is no consistency the way every enemy in Dark Souls 1 felt connected to the world and lore.

Feels like a poor attempt at recreating the guys in Anor Londo from DS1.

At least the Iron Keep isn't pitch black like 80% of the locations in this game...

Samurai or knight! Pick one or the other you walking contradictions! Man these things are worse then my cousin when he was going through his weaboo stage at 9 years old. He went as a samurai ninja super saiyan knight for halloween once, all these things need to do is go full blown agro when you say something bad about animal or Dragon Ball Z! XD Yes I know, it’s a Japanese game and the “weaboo” insult doesn’t make sense but still these guys remind me so much of my dorky little cousin as a kid and I cannot help but mock! :P All kidding aside, these things are relentless and would follow you to the pits of hell! Heck, a swarm followed me off the edge and into the lava! Crazy!

i think these guys were inspired by Rikimaru (from Tenchu series) in his ninja armor, the resemblance is striking

Stupidest thing in the whole game. Getting 8+ knights agroe'd on you from 189*10^78 miles away while you're getting sniped is stupid. Plus their attacks recover at a speed that makes fighting multiple in melee combat impossible without getting hit.
