Dragon Head Stone is a special covenant item in Dark Souls 2 (DKS2). Dragon Head Stone, a stone imbued with the power of dragons. Morphs the head into that of a fire-breathing dragon, a transformation that persists until death. Converts the head slot item into the Black Dragon Helm and provides a fire-breathing ability upon subsequent use. The fire-breathing damage is relatively low, primarily useful for staggering enemies.Tools are unique, reusable items which assist the player during various facets of gameplay ranging from basic communication to assisting in boss encounters.

The zealots who sought everlasting life are said to have conducted rites to imbue stones with the strength of dragons, but there are no records confirming their success.

- Turns head slot item into Black Dragon Helm
- Grants a firebreathing ability when the stone is used again. The fire-breathing damage is pretty low and is only good for staggering enemies at most.
- The flame does not break objects.
- The effect remains until you die.

Try hold the button and it gets really viable option for damage i guess

The headstone ability does NOT do fire damage. Tested on powder keg mobs in Brume tower, and the oil sconces. Both of which combust on any source of fire damage. Headstone deals physical, indicated by no combustion.

Is there any way to make the fire breath worth using? Does it scale up if you use the fire clutch ring or something?

I did not get the dragon head stone when i got to 1 covenant level
It appears to have a fixed unique damage type as the king's ring, fire clutch ring, ring of blades, and red tearstone ring did not affect its damage output.
