Infantry Axe is a weapon in Dark Souls 2.
An axe wielded by Drangleic infantry.
A makeshift, crude weapon that deals an underwhelming amount of damage.
Acquired From
- Dropped rarely by axe-wielding Hollow Infantry.
Hints and Tips:
- Upgradeable with regular Titanite to +10
- Okay choice for Strength focused classes at early-game.
- Despite it's description, the axe actually deals a decent amount of damage.
- Small, light and quick. Great against small hordes as most attacks are horizontal.
- Rather low durability, unreliable as a main weapon for PvE.
- You can purchase a Club pretty early from Merchant Hag Melentia, a better choice in most cases.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.

It's rather low requirements makes it suitable for early powerstancing.

Sadly has my favorite look of all the small axes but is by far the worst
If you do the glitch where you skip character creation entirely this is the only weapon in the game that you can wield without boosting dex except for bare fists. If you want to make your hatred of dex known you might want to use this weapon. I don't count staves and chimes because those are catalysts and only deal elemental damage.
