Manikin Sabre is a weapon in Dark Souls 2.

Small curved sword of the manikins of Harvest Valley.

The peculiar art of puppetry is a vestige of the two lost lands. The Queen, entranced by poison, used it to beckon unknowing souls to the defiled valley.

Acquired From

  • Dropped by sabre wielding Manikins in Earthen Peak. Two can be found just before the Middle bonfire and one more can be found up the ramp from the middle bonfire, through the gate.

Hints and Tips:

  • Upgraded with regular Titanite to +10.
  • Trivia: The Manikin Sabre is clearly based off of the Kopis. Starting as a tool used to cut meat and sacrifice animals, it eventually saw use in battle in the Macedonian Era through Hoplites, who carried Xifos swords as their secondary weapon once their Spears broke.
The Kopis would slowly replace the Xifos through Hoplites equipment over time.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.
Regular(R), Thrust(T), Slash(Sl), Strike(St)

How do I edit this thing to remove the mention of Spartans? Sick of people watching 300 going around thinking they're historians and spreading their alternate history bullshit. The kopis was primarily viewed as a cavalry weapon, and Spartans didn't have any cavalry at all until the late Peloponnesian War. What Spartans "particularly" used was the spear, and after that the xiphos, the short double-edged straight sword. The kopis has no particular association with Spartans whatsoever, and in fact even less of an association with them than all other ancient Greek peoples.

It's decent. Less damage than a warped sword, but lower stat requirements -- particularly strength, as warped sword requires 15 (22 for power stance). The bleed can be nice in pvp.

For anyone new out there second bonfire in earthen peak has two you can farm plus grave warden and manikin with knife.

God have any of you guys tried a bleed assassin with shadow set, brotherhood of blood ring, and then manikin Sabre and bandit knife. For the assassin low level 70-80 for low health people, then silver talisman or chameleon. Very fun low level build.

This thing is actually really good. I'm in NG+2 and it's still keeping up very well on damage. It's also stylish and has a fun moveset.

I use it with an infusion and base physical stats and it usually hits harder than anything else in it's weight class.

It's a bit of a pain to farm, but man, it is well worth it. Became my favorite sword in the game as soon as I started using it.

i have farmed over 200 manikins w/ full item discovery gear and have gotten 4 full armor sets before getting a single one of these, and to think i wanted 2 to powerstance them. at this point I'm convinced this weapon is an elaborate joke and it doesnt exist

Probably the best weapon for a low-medium level build, unless your build has less than 19 DEX (including bonuses) Two hand moveset is amazing in PvP and it seems to do more damage than warped sword and with a lower stamina cost and seemingly equal range.

Stupid good, if you can get it to drop. Has slightly better damage, range, and scaling to falcion. Can Also power stance at 9 strength, great for a pure dex build if you started as bandit or swordsman.

                      • For anyone out there who is struggling to get this item drop from those few Manikins in Earthen peak, don't give up skeleton! This weapon is awesome and definitely worth it imo. It has good dex scaling, a great moveset (especially if you are good at playing unlocked), and still has great scaling if you infuse it. a +10 Dark Manikin Sabre for a hexer with 30 int and faith is INSANE.

                        • Anonymous

The Manikin Sabre has 220 physical and 147 elemental when infused (+ 10). With a B scaling for the chosen element
