I always thought the hunters blackbow had the most range. This outranges it by 5 but has C scaling for Strength and Dex at +10 as opposed to HB which has S in Dex. Combined with hawk ring you can pull off some insane long range shots and I highly recommend it for the shrine of amana spam fest. You won't regret it.

I got this the very first time I killed that bowman on the big boat for the Flexile Sentry bossfight.
Thank you DS2 I'll never use it.

I didn’t know this was a thing until I picked up an apparently very lucky drop. I’ve only upgraded it to +4 so far but I do like this bow very much. Just deciding which upgrade path to follow (haven’t got the dull ember for this character yet).

DS2 101: your drop rate scales down based on how much time you passed in a area. This is to reward the player when they advance in the game instead of staying on the same area for too long. So if you know a area have a rare drop you want, don't waste time there until you have ways to raise your item discovey rate the most as possible. Personally, i like to have sea bow just to shrine of amana due to it's long range. At that point i equip jester hat, hollow clothes, gold serpent ring +1 and watchdragon parma, maybe can use a rusted coin too. Even then, i still end up with like 5 of every other possible drop from varagian warriors before getting what i actually wanted, as it's a rarest drop among the other possible drops. Good luck.

            • Wanted 2. Got the first one in less than 15 tries (first archer from bonfire} second bow was stupid. After 200 tries I burnt a bonfire aesthetic and got it on the second try. Hope that helps someone. Good luck.

I got it on my first playthrough on my first run through the village. The cool name for it alone is enough to make me use it.

Been farming for two hours and haven't gotten jack-squat. I'm using every item discovery piece of armor with Covetous Gold Serpent Ring +2 and Rusted Coin. Fml ;(
