*When infused: 80 physical dmg/80 elemental dmg and B scaling with chosen element. Dex scaling changes to C.
Work Hook is a weapon in Dark Souls 2.
A hook that covers the hand.
Clearly not intended as a weapon, but certainly sharp enough to shred an enemy's skin.
Acquired From
- Dropped by a Mimic in Earthen Peak, in a room filled with poison urns.
Hints and Tips:
- By using mundane on this weapon it will definitely become stronger, unless your lowest stat is 1. (mundane scales based on your lowest stat, for each point under 20 is 6 damage added to 1/2 of base damage) So at +0 with 2 being your lowest stat you'll have 22+62 damage, therefore, this is a mundane dedicated weapon.
- if you infused it with Bleed, the result is close to Bandit's Knife and default Claws, but with less physical damage.
- When equipped in an active slot, increases Dexterity by 5, but decreases Adaptability by 3.
- Apparently the work hook degrades enemies equipment. (needs testing)

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.

"When equipped in an active slot, increases Dexterity by 5, but decreases Adaptability by 3." No in-game info about that.

Mimic caught me by surprise, since it was the first in the game. Actually would've fallen for it if I hadn't accidentally hit the chest while clearing the bugs. Still ended up killed by it... though the poison urns it smashed killed it too, right after I died. Hook despawned, so it looks like I'll never get it :(

Perfect for all of my fellow weirdos looking to do either pirate cosplay's, or just looking to*****around with bleed builds. >:D

Would love to play around with it if it wasn't for the -3 ADP

Wish it could be used for parrying, then it would be more useful in the offhand.
